Tularemia after a dormouse bite in Switzerland

Reported here is a case of ulceroglandular tularemia acquired from a dormouse in a forest in northern Switzerland. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first description of this infection being transmitted from a dormouse to a human in this country, and it serves as a reminder that, although rare, the disease does occur naturally. …
