The injection of urethral bulking agents has been reported to lead to the formation of suburethral masses [
1‐
3], including granulomas after injection of collagen, pseudocysts after injection of dextranomer/hyaluronic acid (Zuidex®), and abscesses/pseudoabscesses after injection of polyacrylamide hydrogel (Bulkamid®) and pyrolytic carbon-coated beads (Durasphere®). We could not find similar reports relating to the injection of polydimethylsiloxane (Macroplastique®; Uroplasty).
