For advanced pancreatic body cancers, distal pancreatectomy with celiac axis resection (DP-CAR) is one promising option to achieve R0 resection.1 However, resection of the CA and left gastric artery (LGA) led to postoperative ischemic events, which resulted in a major cause of mortality.2 Another adverse event—postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF)-related bleeding from the CA stump—was fatal as well.
