Aortic homograft in the right ventricular outflow position is known to have a higher incidence of calcification in children [1]. Cartilagenous metaplasia leading to ossification is one of the findings explaining this process. Earlier, we had reported a case of ossification noted in the aortic valve [2]. In this report, we describe an image of ossification noted in an aortic homograft explanted from the right ventricular outflow (RVOT) after 10 years of implantation (Figs. 1, 2).
