Neuromodulation is defined as the alteration of nerve activity through targeted delivery of a stimulus, such as electrical stimulation or chemical agents, to specific neurological sites in the body. This treatment has been widely used to manage chronic neuropathic pain. Given the widespread prevalence of chronic pain, this field has grown exponentially over the last several years, with significant advancements made in both its procedural and technological aspects. Attempting to keep up to date with these advances is akin to “drinking from a firehose,” considering the volume and pace of innovation related to devices, waveforms, and stimulation targets. To have all this information compiled into one single resource is highly valuable to any health care practitioner, regardless of their career stage.
