Telephone follow-up is a valid method to follow participants enrolled in epidemiological studies and surveys. Enhancement of participation, retaining and tracking participants are challenges in prospective follow-up. Elevated loss to follow-up rate has an impact on sample size, internal validity with introduction of selection bias [
