Visceral scalloping, notably liver scalloping, is a common and suggestive finding of pseudomyxoma peritonei. It may help in the differentiation of mucinous ascites, as seen in pseudomyxoma peritonei (Fig. 1), from other causes of ascites (Fig. 2), such as peritoneum carcinomatosis [13].
