In patients with hypertension requiring thiazide diuretic treatment, there do not appear to be cardiovascular benefits with the use of chlorthalidone rather than hydrochlorothiazide, according to study results reported in JAMA Internal Medicine, and chlorthalidone "was associated with greater risk of renal and electrolyte abnormalities". …
