Abstract

Therapeutic electrophysiology procedures have rapidly evolved to help improve the quality of life in patients with heart rhythm disturbances. Cardiac CT angiography is a robust, high-resolution imaging tool that is commonly utilized for electrophysiology procedural planning and to improve intraprocedural efficiency. While cardiac CT is most often used to support radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation, it also helps in assessing cardiac veins for cardiac resynchronization therapy, the left atrial appendage for thrombus, and post-procedural complications such as pulmonary vein stenosis. In this article, we will discuss the utility of cardiac CT for electrophysiology procedural related indications.
