Hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) often presents a diagnostic challenge due its non-specific clinical presentation. The incidence of myocardial involvement in HES is estimated to be above 40% and as high as 84% in some series1,2. The most common cardiac presentation of HES is the presence of endomyocardial fibrosis. While cardiac MRI and echocardiography are most commonly used to evaluate patients with HES, we demonstrate the potential pitfalls of SPECT-MPI in these patients. …
