Prague was this year’s host of the 23rd International meeting of the Pediatric Colorectal Club. Originally this meeting was informal and focused on two congenital colorectal diseases: Hirschsprung’s disease and anorectal malformations (ARM), with scientific papers from pediatric surgeons for pediatric surgeons. Over the last few years, however, it has evolved into a scientific meeting on multiple colorectal subjects, as inflammatory bowel disease, idiopathic constipation and colonic motility disorders. The meeting is now attended by pediatric surgeons, pediatric urologists, gynecologists, epidemiologists and representatives of patients’ and parents’ organizations, presenting and discussing research on these colorectal topics. This year more than 100 participants from all over the world came to Prague to attend 65 oral presentations and multiple E-poster sessions. With this report, we would like to summarize some of the key items discussed in Prague this year. …
