Prolonged remission in adult-onset Still’s disease with etanercept

Anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α therapy is being tried in resistant patients with adult-onset Still’s disease (AOSD), but most cases achieve only partial remission [1, 2]. We describe a Kuwaiti man with early resistant AOSD who achieved complete remission with etanercept, but relapsed when it was discontinued 2 years later and who again showed full clinical response upon its reintroduction. …
