To the Editor: An 11-mo old boy was referred to our hospital with 5 d history of loose bloody-stools, fever, vomiting, decreased urine output, and generalized body swelling. Continuous kidney replacement therapy was initiated in previous hospital due to acute kidney injury and dyselectrolytemia. Probable diagnosis of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) was made based on positive COVID serology (IgG ELISA), anemia (hemoglobin = 5.8 g/dl), and thrombocytopenia (platelet count = 59,000/mm3). Blood transfusion, methylprednisolone and IV immunoglobulin were administered. …
