Forty years after its introduction [1], coronary angiography remains the most accurate technique for the assessment of coronary anatomy. Its impact on the diagnosis and management of ischaemic heart disease (IHD) is corroborated by the fact that coronary angiography is still essential for surgical aorto-coronary bypass grafting and percutaneous revascularisation. …
