We would like to take this opportunity to thank Professor Daniel Hayes for his wonderful service and leadership as an Associate Editor of Breast Cancer Research and Treatment. Our journal averages around five submissions a day 365 days a year and Dan has ably overseen many of the clinical manuscripts submitted. Not only has he done this with timeliness, sympathy, and wonderful judgment, but in addition has led substantial improvement in policy and guidelines for articles on prognostic variables and other areas. …
