World Journal of Surgical Oncology keeps readers up-to-date with the latest developments in oncology and allied subjects, influencing the work of all surgical oncologists, from detecting the mechanisms underlying the causation of cancer, to its treatment and prevention. The journal publishes a variety of article types, including technical innovations. With an average-time-to-first-decision after submission of just 19 days, and dissemination of all our research on a global scale upon publication, in 2017 the journal received over 950,000 article downloads.
