Coronary stent infection is a very rare complication of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and is associated with very high rates of mortality. It most commonly presents with fever and chest pain within 4 weeks of PCI, and the diagnosis relies upon clinical features in combination with positive cardiac imaging. We present a novel case of coronary stent infection diagnosed by Gallium Scan. This imaging modality has significant advantages in aiding the diagnosis and monitoring of this infective process. …
