Sir: A left ventricular abnormal contraction transiently occurs in about 10% of cases of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) in the acute phase, and such cases tend to be severe and are often associated with pulmonary edema, hemodynamic instability, and elevated levels of cardiac troponin [
1]. A left ventricular abnormal contraction associated with SAH usually consists of akinesis of apical segments and hyperkinesis of basal segments, the so-called Takotsubo contraction pattern [
