In a recent issue of Surgical Endoscopy, Borzellino et al. [1] reported satisfactory preliminary results of early laparoendoscopic rendezvous for acute biliary pancreatitis. In addition, the spread of endoscopic surgery has laid the basis for the use of the laparoendoscopic approach in the course of acute pancreatitis, including necrosis [2].
