The Poké Ball sign in mature ovarian cystic teratoma

The “Poké Ball sign” is a characteristic radiological finding of mature ovarian cystic teratomas. It is defined by the presence of a single globular structure floating at a fat–fluid interface mimicking the appearance of a Poké Ball (Fig. 1) [1], which is a spherical device used in the Pokémon® series to catch and store Pokémons [2]. This appearance is a variant of the “floating ball sign”, which refers to the presence of multiple (sometimes more than 100) mobile nodules within the cystic\fatty content of an adnexal cystic teratoma [1, 3].
