Sir: In a recent issue of your journal, Zegers et al. [3] reported a preterm infant with supraventricular tachycardia, nephrogenic diabetes insipidus and multiple haemangiomatosis. The mother of this infant had been treated with lithium for bipolar disturbances for years. In a previous communication, I reported a newborn infant with an extensive port-wine stain born to a mother who was taking lithium carbonate in the first trimester of pregnancy [1]. Zegers et al. [3] did refer to my work but had my name misspelt. …
