To the Editor—We thank Drs.​ Werbin and Greenberg for their interest in our article.1 They have considerable experience with the use of fibrin glue as an adjunct in the treatment of pilonidal sinus.2 From this description, it appears that the sinus complex is treated by using a traditional surgical technique, after which fibrin glue is used to aid healing. Our technique does not involve incision of the skin or dissection of tissue, merely curettage of the track followed by filling with fibrin glue. The main advantage of our technique is that in avoiding incision and dissection, pain is minimized and dressings are not required after treatment. This facilitates a rapid return to normal activities. We maintain that our technique for treating pilonidal disease is minimally invasive, atraumatic, and a novel approach. …
