RF was born at term. He had intrauterine growth retardation and presented with mild cyanosis (88%) and a heart murmur. Antenatal history was significant for alcohol and solvent abuse by the mother. Clinical evaluation demonstrated a single second heart sound and a harsh, high-frequency 3/6 ejection systolic murmur best heard at the left lower sternal border radiating to the lung fields. There was no hepatospenomegaly and pulses were normal. …
