In patients with atrial fibrillation, concomitant treatment with direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) and antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) is associated with the "relatively high rate of thromboembolic events" of 5.7% patient-year, according to study results reported in Clinical Drug Investigation, with a major bleeding rate of 1.9% patient-year. …
