Solitary Subcutaneous Metastasis from Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Esophagus: A Case Report and Brief Review of Literature

Carcinoma of the esophagus is known to metastasize to lung, liver, bone, and brain. Metastasis to soft tissue, though rare, has been reported from adenocarcinoma of the esophagus. Interestingly, squamous cell carcinoma of esophagus has not been reported to metastasize to the subcutaneous tissue. We present a patient with squamous cell carcinoma of esophagus and metastasis to the subcutaneous tissue. …
