Regarding the Letter to Editor about our recent article [1], we congratulate the authors for the efforts to add information to the topic, as they are an interested and experienced group in both obesity and gastroesophageal reflux. We thank for the many comments with clinical basis, but we have to disagree in many points, helping to clarify the misunderstanding of the real importance of our message. …
