Aortic occlusion due to aortic thrombosis is a rare condition which is often life-threatening. It occurs most commonly in individuals who are predisposed to cardiovascular diseases. Rescue surgery is the only curative treatment whose prognosis essentially depends on the speed of diagnosis.
