Dear Sir, Rectal prolapse is a life-altering condition characterized by the eversion of the rectum through the anal sphincter. Surgical repair aims to restore normal anatomy, alleviate symptoms, and prevent recurrence. Both perineal and transabdominal approaches are described, with the former associated with higher recurrence rates and reserved for high-risk patients [
