Uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumors in premenopausal women. The incidence is approximately 29.7/1000 patient years [1]. Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) is an effective alternative to hysterectomy for symptomatic fibroids. Postprocedural thromboembolic events are not frequently reported. We present here a patient who underwent UFE and was later diagnosed as having acute pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis. …
