Physiologic Management of Chronic Constipation: Let’s FEED It

There are various treatment options available for chronic constipation (CC) [1]. However, the long-term usage of these treatment options such as laxatives, serotonergic agents, and prosecretory agents can have significant side effects [1]. Though there are several physiologic methods available to treat CC, they have never been used in combination. If these methods are used together, then a significant proportion of CC patients could perhaps be treated only by physiologic methods. The physiologic methods described to treat CC are increasing hip flexion while sitting on toilet commode [2], taking fiber supplement properly and [3] drinking more water [4]. …
