Liu et al. [1] compared the effect of low-dose amitriptyline (AMT) and routine treatment with pantoprazole (RT) on epigastric pain syndrome (EPS) in patients with functional dyspepsia (FD). Low-dose AMT had an advantage of improving EPS and shorter time of falling asleep, although there was no difference of reducing psychological distress. Before considering drug effects, I have some comments about their study regarding FD symptoms and sleep. …
