A 63-year-old female nurse-anesthetist was initially evaluated in the outpatient clinic with a 4-week history of intermittent mid-epigastric abdominal pain that was colicky, often postprandial, non-radiating and would usually last for 15–30 min. Her symptoms were associated with intermittent postprandial nausea and abdominal distension. She denied any history of melena, hematochezia, constipation, diarrhea, or excess of flatus.
