The problem in this patient is very simple and straight forward. This was a 16-year-old teenager who was playing basketball and then fell. He braced his fall with the outstretched right upper extremity and almost immediately felt pain and was not able to use the arm in a normal fashion. None of these findings changed over the next 3 h, and so, he was brought to our emergency room (ER). …
