The Journal initiated a survey of centers within and outside of the USA in response to the interest of many trainees in molecular cardiovascular imaging. Emails were sent to Associate and Guest Editors, Editorial Board members, and others suggested by these people. We asked potential responders to use the definition of molecular imaging as articulated by Mankoff DA in JNM 48(6)18N, 2007 (
https://www.abnm.org/index.php/sample-page-2/what-is-molecular-imaging/). We recognize that the process is not perfect, and some responders may have confused multimodality imaging with molecular imaging, while true sites with molecular imaging are not accounted for, and so there are errors on both sides. We also recognize that we should have included optical imaging in the survey letter, and we plan to do so when we update the list. The important thing however is that this is the start of a process which likely needs updating frequently. The reasons for making it available are twofold: (1) as a source of information for those seeking additional training and (2) encourage authors whose centers are not listed here to complete the simple survey form (see right hand column) and to return it to us (at aiskand@uab.edu). The table below contains a list of what we have so far. …
