Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal carcinoma (HNPCC) is the most common colorectal cancer susceptibility syndrome, with a lifetime risk of colon cancer of 80% [
1]. Affected individuals are at risk for extracolonic malignancies as well. These include (in descending order) endometrial, ovarian, gastric, and transition cell carcinoma of the uroepithelial tract.
