As 25% of patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) have liver metastases, a treatment strategy for CRC with liver metastases (CLM) is necessary to improve the prognosis of CRC. Resection of CLM contributes to the prolongation of overall survival (OS).1 However, the recurrence rate after resection of CLM is also high, ranging from 52% to 72%, with residual liver recurrence accounting for more than 25% of cases.1 Therefore, biomarkers for predicting postoperative recurrence may be useful for optimizing perioperative treatments for CLM. …
