Excerpt

Between 2016 and 2019, an enhanced recovery program (ERP) and physician education initiatives decreased breast surgeon opioid-prescribing and increased use of non-opioid regimens in a large, integrated, health care delivery system.1 This suggests that non-opioid regimens (NOR) for pain management after breast surgery are feasible, and illustrates the strength of an integrated health care delivery system in a shared mission of combating the opioid epidemic.
