Primary cutaneous melanoma is a common and well-described cancer in Australia, as are the common sites of metastases.1,2 Gastrointestinal tract metastases of melanoma are less well-understood, particularly with regard to metastatic melanoma to the large bowel (colon, rectum, and anus).3,4 This study aimed to report the incidence, mortality, and clinical features of metastatic melanoma to the large bowel by investigating a melanoma database maintained prospectively at a large tertiary referral center in Australia, the country with the highest incidence of melanoma worldwide. …
