Abstract

Jaw tumors are recognized as one of the most aggressive diseases occurring in the oral environment. Patients that have undergone surgical resection to treat this disease usually acquire enormous tissue loss. The rehabilitation of these cases is a challenge that often requires a multidisciplinary approach. Autogenous bone grafts or vascularized flaps allow ridge reconstruction in order to provide enough bone for implant placement. This paper reports a case of postresection of odontogenic myxoma using iliac crest bone graft, implant placement and the fabrication of implant-supported restoration.
