To the Editor: We agree with Paul and Jain that low FT4 and normal TSH reported in our case as central hypothyroidism (CH) mimics euthyroid sick syndrome (ESS), and hypocortisolism with CH mimics ‘critical illness-related corticosteroid insufficiency’ [1, 2]. In such a scenario, the infant’s serial thyroid function, cortisol level, and clinical scenario may help in establishing the diagnosis. …
