This book is a multiauthored edition, with contributors and editors who are experts in their fields regarding new therapeutic approaches for melanoma. They have captured and described the recent developments in targeted cancer therapies as they apply to melanoma. It is a highly technical volume and is directed toward true melanoma mavins, both clinical and laboratory research based, who continue to work at the translational interface. The book is divided into three parts, making various targeted therapies applicable to melanoma. The First Part is entitled Advances in Melanoma Biology, consisting of 3 chapters; the Second Part is entitled Signaling Molecules as Molecular Targets and consists of 7 chapters; and the Third Part is entitled Rational Immunotherapeutic Approaches, with 8 chapters. …
