Testicular germ cell tumors (GCTs) are rare neoplasms accounting for 1–2 % of all malignancies in men and represent the most common solid tumors in men between 15 and 35 years of age [1]. Histologically, they are classified into seminoma and non-seminoma subtypes [2]. Most recurrences of GCTs develop within the first 2 years after initial treatment [3] Late relapse has been defined as relapse in the absence of contralateral tumor more than 2 years after a complete response to initial treatment and its reported incidence is 3–4 % [3]. The retroperitoneum is the most common site of late relapse [3]. Gastrointestinal tract metastasis of testicular tumors is a rare occurrence [1, 2]. We describe here a very rare case of relapse of a pure seminoma, 12 years after the initial treatment, in a patient who presented with sigmoid colon obstruction. …

Keynote webinar | Spotlight on medication adherence

Live: Thursday 27th June 2024, 18:00-19:30 (CEST)

WHO estimates that half of all patients worldwide are non-adherent to their prescribed medication. The consequences of poor adherence can be catastrophic, on both the individual and population level.

Join our expert panel to discover why you need to understand the drivers of non-adherence in your patients, and how you can optimize medication adherence in your clinics to drastically improve patient outcomes.
