With great interest we have read the article by Ciangua et al. reporting clinical practice recommendations for pregnancy management following bariatric surgery [1]. We thank the authors for introducing this guideline, since we agree that this was needed. The authors discussed many important issues regarding maternal pregnancy management. However, in our opinion, the recommendations concerning “management of a surgical emergency during pregnancy” are incomplete. …
