Laboratory-acquired meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in two microbiology laboratory technicians

Laboratory-acquired infections in technicians are not so rare in the field of laboratory medicine [1]. In 2003, Gosbell et al. [2] were the first to report a case of laboratory-acquired meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection. We have had a similar experience in our laboratory, and we present the details of the cases here as additional information. …
