The diagnosis of inflammatory neuropathies is based on a combination of clinical criteria, CSF analysis and electrophysiological parameters. However, early in the clinical course of the disease it is often difficult to distinguish between the subtleties of disease sub-phenotypes. This in turn commonly leads to delayed or incorrect initial diagnosis, delay in appropriate management and inaccurate prognostic information offered to patients and their families. …
