The recent article by P. P. Sharma [1] describes a new surgical technique in the treatment of pilonidal cyst with very promising outcomes (a recurrence rate less than 2%). We congratulate him for his surgical spirit, precise methodological approach, as well as his clear statement about follow-up time. Nevertheless, we feel that two aspects of his study should be addressed. …
