It’s been an eventful year for the Section on Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at the American Academy of Pediatrics! The Section membership is at an all time high since many cardiovascular surgeons have joined the section. The surgeons been instrumental in organizing a surgery/interventional day at the annual Section Scientific Meeting and are encouraging applications from young surgeons for the Young Investigator Awards and the Research Fellowship Award. We believe the addition of the surgeons has enhanced the quality of the section education programs and activities. …
