We report two cases of endomyocardial fibrosis. The first was a 10-year-old girl with left endocardial ventricular thickening and massive mitral valvular incompetence. Chest x-ray (Fig. 1) showed a severe cardiomegaly secondary to a giant left atrium. She was operated on with excision of the fibrotic endocardium, mitral valvuloplasty, and atrial reduction. The second case was a 12-year-old boy with a fibrous right ventricle totally reduced at its infundibulum and an aneurysmal right atrium. Chest x-ray and apical four-chamber echocardiography show a massively enlarged and disorganized-appearing right atrium (Fig. 2).
