The ESSKA grand old man, the founding editor of our journal, Ejnar Eriksson received well deserved thanks during the ESSKA congress in Porto for his accomplishments with the journal. The Impact Factor for 2007 was recently published and was the highest ever; 1.626, which ranks KSSTA as 17/72 of sports science journals and 16/48 of all orthopaedic journals world wide. This is a good time to take over for our new editor team Rene Verdonk and Jon Karlsson, together with their associate editors. They are currently working on a new organisation for the journal, which will be launched in the next issue of KSSTA. Both are distinguished scientists with a large number of publications and long term service in various journal editorial boards. They will have full support from the ESSKA Board, which considers KSSTA as our flag ship! …
