Sir: Extracting a foreign body (FB) from the bronchial tree may be difficult, depending on the size and location of the FB, and on the training of the operator as well. When FB aspiration occurs in a severely hypoxemic patient, extraction using bronchoscopy may be harmful because of the risk of hypoventilation during the procedure. …
